Open Board Positions

For the league to operate most efficiently, the following board positions need to be filled immediately: 

Information Director (if vacant, duties shall be the responsibility of the VP of Administration). (a) Manage the league’s official home page.  (b) Assign administrative rights to league volunteers and teams.  (c) Ensure that league news and scores are updated on a regular basis.  (d) Collect, post, and distribute important information on League activities including direct dissemination of fundraising and sponsor activities to Little League Baseball, district, public, league members, and media.  (e) Serve as primary contact person for North Snohomish Little League regarding optimizing use of the Internet for league administration and for distributing information to league members and to Little League International.

Director of T-Ball and Rookie Baseball (if vacant, duties shall be the responsibility of VP of BB). Help and manage player agents, assist in registration setup, work with VP and Player Agents for Coach Selection, schedule and assist with clinics for coaches i.e. rules, development, scorebooks etc., collection of documents, setup of Parent meetings, set up of draft, assist coaches with their role, assist VP with tryouts, assist with setup of tournaments, etc.

Upper Level Scheduler to schedule all upper level Baseball (AA and Above) and Softball (SB Rookie age 8 and Above) practices, Practices to be scheduled based on available field space per division coaches commitments to be taken into account to the best of our ability, D1 to schedule all games games to begin after Spring break In House games may be played prior to Spring Break, Managers and Coaches should plan on a min. of 3 events per week weather permitted, more practices may be scheduled due to weather it is up to the Manager if they would like to take their scheduled practice time, if there is a rainout format for D1 reschedule must be used, etc.

Lower Level Scheduler to schedule all t-ball, BB Rookie and SB Rookie 6-7 teams (if applicable) games and practices games to begin 1-2 weeks after spring break and to end no later than Mid June, scheduler will use fields 7-10 for t-ball and rookie BB field 3 and 4 for SB rookie ages 6-7, for game reschedules coaches must find a date that will work for both and report to the scheduler scheduler will approve or not, games always take priority over practices, scheduler can schedule up to 3 practices per week it is recommend that the Manager and Coach hold 3 events per week, min of 12 games to be played during the season more may be scheduled to account for weather, etc.

T-Ball/ Rookie BB Player Agent (If position is vacant, duties shall be the League Player Agent’s responsibility) Duties include: Spring Registration, including pre-season planning, tryouts, registration and waivers, coaches binder prep, advocate for the players, Tournament Play selection process & teams; Training & Development Season; and District 1 Resources, etc.

Softball Player Agent (If position is vacant, duties shall be the League Player Agent’s responsibility). Duties include: Spring Registration, including pre-season planning, tryouts, registration and waivers, coaches binder prep, advocate for the players, Tournament Play selection process & teams; Training & Development Season; and District 1 Resources, etc.

Director of Facilities (If position is vacant, duties shall be the VP of Operation’s responsibility). Duties include: upkeep and maintenance on the concession stand, field sheds, and storage containers.

As the league continues to grow, the following positions are recommended: 

Secretary (if vacant, duties shall be the responsibility of the VP of Administration) Duties include: (a) Be responsible for recording the activities of North Snohomish Little League and maintain appropriate files, mailing lists, and necessary records.  (b) Perform such duties as are herein specifically set forth, in addition to such other duties as are customarily incident to the office of Secretary.  (c) Maintain a list of all Regular, Sustaining and Honorary Members, Directors and committee members and give notice of all meetings of North Snohomish Little League, the Board of Directors, and Committees.  (d) Keep the minutes of the meetings of the Members, the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, and cause them to be recorded in a book kept for that purpose.  (e) Conduct all correspondence not otherwise specifically delegated in connection with said meeting and shall be responsible for carrying out all orders, votes and resolutions not otherwise committed.

Treasurer (if vacant, duties shall be the responsibility of the VP of Finance). Duties include: (a) Perform such duties as are herein set forth and such other duties as are customarily incident to the Office of Treasurer or may be assigned by the Board of Directors.  (b) Receive all monies and securities, and deposit same in a depository approved by the Board of Directors.  (c) Keep records for the receipt and disbursement of all monies and securities of the Local League, including the Auxiliary, approve all payments from allotted finds and draw checks therefore in agreement with policies established in advance of such actions by the Board of Directors. All disbursements by check must have dual signatures.  (d) Prepare an annual budget, under the direction of the Vice President of Finances and the President, for submission to the Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting and to Washington State Little League District I and Little League International.  (e) Prepare an annual financial report, under the direction of the Vice President of Finances and the President, for submission to the Membership and Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting, and to Washington State Little League District I and Little League International. (f) Prepare a monthly financial report, under the direction of the Vice President of Finances and the President, for submission to the Membership and Board of Directors at monthly meetings.

Majors and Above Player Agent  (If position is vacant, duties shall be the League Player Agent’s responsibility). Duties include: Spring Registration, including pre-season planning, tryouts, registration and waivers, coaches binder prep, advocate for the players, Tournament Play selection process & teams; Training & Development Season; and District 1 Resources, etc.

Concessions Director (If position is vacant, duties shall be the VP of Operation’s responsibility). Duties include: Ensure concession is staffed with volunteers and that there is always a Board Member On Duty (BMOD), update signup for concession, receive or ensure someone is at the fields to receive a delivery, all procedures are followed, one person has a food handlers permit who is in the stand at all times, etc. 3

Director of All-Stars (If position is vacant, duties shall be the VP of Baseball and/or the VP of Softball’s responsibility respectively) Partners with League Player Agent, VP of Baseball/Softball, President and VP of Admin for Allstars, all scheduling for practices to be completed, registration setup, assisting with tryouts and collection of evaluations and ballots (if being used), ordering of uniforms and gear

Director of Fall Baseball (If position is vacant, duties shall be the VP of Baseball and/or the VP of Softball’s responsibility respectively). Setup fall registration, schedule practices, order uniforms, place players on team, be the contact for all of fall ball. 

Director of Volunteers (If position is vacant, duties shall be the VP of Administration’s responsibility). Assist with scheduling volunteers for league events and concession stand coverage

Corporate Giving Coordinator (as needed)If vacant, duties shall be the VP of Finance’s responsibility. Complete all verification of hours and submit forms from volunteers for companies to donate 

Uniform Coordinator (as needed). If vacant, duties shall be VP of Admin's respsonsibility. Partner with Gearup Sports to ensure website is ready for launch, order all hats in January for the entire league, order jerseys for all upper and lower levels by due dates, order all coaches gear
